This beautiful flower is created using the herringbone stitch. If you have experience with herringbone, also known as, Ndebele, this a great class for you. You will stretch your creativity and learn new variations and applications for the stitch. The flower itself is lovely and when used as a center piece in a simple strung necklace, it really makes a statement. The flower would also make a great pin!

Exploring Spiral Rope

Spiral Rope is a weave that can be reinvented countless times. Depending on the beads you choose, the counts you choose and of course the color choices you make, the end result can be very different! Laura will introduce you to this fun weave and guide you through some of the best techniques and combinations. You can easily create a bracelet or necklace, but you may choose to just create "samplers" to refer to later on. Whatever you choose to make, you will have a great time exploring this versatile weave.

Kumihimo Necklace

Kumihimo is a Japanese braiding technique for making cording. It is easy to learn, relaxing, and be warned.... it can be addictive! It is very flexible - you can use thin cord, heavy yarns, silk ribbons, or even leather. Although fiber will be provided, you can bring your own. You will learn how to incorporate a focal bead, create simple patterns, and finish the ends (NOTE: focal bead, end caps/cones, and clasp are NOT included in kit fee). (KIT FEE ($12) includes Kumi disk, spools, clasp weight, 8 yards fiber. I will also have some end caps/cones available)
