You can use these as pendants with large focal beads, stack them in layers, and embellish them wildly. They coordinate nicely with metal chain, and you can use beaded spiral rope, St. Petersburg chain, or any other seed-bead chain as a neckstrap as well.

Scottish Clover
Teresa Meister

Beautiful copper components, crafted by artist Patricia Healey, are integrated with bead stitching to form an imaginative necklace design. The copper components are combined with multiple beadweaving techniques including flat peyote, beaded beads crafted from glass teardrops, and a unique variation of herringbone stitch accented by surface bead embellishment. More inventive stitches are used to create small component pieces that are vital to necklace assembly while also simultaneously merging together seamlessly into the overall necklace motif. The combination of materials and techniques create a necklace design that articulates a wonderful synergy of metal and beads. KIT FEE: $95.00

Frida's Flower
Teresa Meister

All levels

Form the centerpiece of the necklace drop, Frida's Flower, using glass leaves, teardrops, 15/0 seed beads, and a single pristine Swarovski pearl. Learn a variation of herringbone stitch using 15/0 and 8/0 seed beads to elegantly finish the necklace drop and bring the flow of beads and colors into the necklace strap. The necklace strap includes more bead weaving techniques to create beautiful and delicate beaded beads that have a unique look on each side. Either side of each beaded bead may be arranged in an order of your preference to fashion the pattern of the necklace strap's design. Build a chain of simple connections by creating copper jump rings and joining the rings to the beaded beads. Finally bring it all together and crown Frida's flower by incorporating a beautiful copper clasp and drop component by artist, Patricia Healey. KIT FEE: $80.00

Weave this supple tubular herringbone rope using Japanese seed beads and precious metal-plated charlottes from The Czech Republic. A short length of the same rope is woven with a trio of graduated-size faux pearls attached to each end. The middle pearl on each end is covered with more charlottes in right-angle weave, contrasting the smooth and intricate textures. This length of rope is looped over the center of the necklace to achieve the look of a knot. The herringbone loop and toggle closure of the necklace completes the classic unity of the design.
